Livestock Risk Protection

Livestock Risk Protection is the most affordable and risk adverse way to price protect your cattle and leave the upside profit potential wide open.  No margin calls or money needed up front.

The coverage price that is assigned to your LRP endorsement is derived from that days closing price of the feeder cattle futures board price.

The ending value price that determines if an indemnity is due is derived from the feeder cattle index.

Information needed from you, the rancher, would be the number of head you want to cover on price, gender, expiration date (typically close to when you sell), and weight of the animals at that expiration date.
